Gareth Evans

Biography

Gareth was raised and educated in South Africa when his parents emigrated there from the UK when he was young. Having completed his education and National Service he joined one of the largest insurance companies in South Africa where he eventually became a Senior Corporate Benefits Consultant advising employers on setting up workplace pensions.

In 2000 he returned to Wales with his family and has had several roles involving paraplanning, financial & mortgage advice, financial services compliance audits and relationship management.

Gareth joined Estate Capital in May 2024 and one of the reasons why he joined was the impressive calibre of the people who work there.

At Estate Capital he assists the Financial Advisers in conducting product research, preparing reports, pension and investment transfer assessments as well as submitting new business applications.

Gareth graduated from the University of South Africa with a Bachelor of Commerce. He also obtained a Diploma in Retirement Fund Management through the Insurance Institute of South Africa. On his return to the UK he obtained the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice as well as the Certificate in Financial Planning & Advice. He is currently doing additional learning modules towards completing the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
